dnp and muscle loss?

Wyllis

New member
I have heard that when using dnp for how ever long you use it, you feel like your dieing. In real terms your body is responding in the way it would if you were constantly running.

I was wondering if your body is reacting in this way then wouldnt muscle loss be enevitable? Cant think of a more extreme way to diet.

There are alot of posts on this, I made a few.

One of the major reasons for turning catabolic on DNP is dehydration of the muscles. Glycerol will help hydrate the muscles, along with massive consumption of h2o. However, even with glycerol and the water, I don't think catabolism can be avoided for a very long time... perhaps 8 days or so.

Some people have performed longer cycles, of 24 days... and I'm not sure if they claimed any loss of muscle... however, I believe their dosage was much lower.

Another way to avoid some catabolism is to use an AAS like anavar... which is probably the best to use along with DNP to avoid muscle loss..

In the end, you STILL might lose some muscle, even on a short cyle of 8 days. In my mind, DNP is NOT anti-catabolic... it inhibits ATP at a cellular level... the general nature of it is to be catabolic... Working out, for muscle gain, while on DNP is very worthless... as muscles can't BUILD in inhibited state. A workout of higher reps with lighter weight might be effective... as a mere maintenence... but for building... don't expect to make "Gains" -- also, strength should be way down.

Don't know if I answered your question, or just started typing. LOL

I have taken dnp and aas together, with strength gain and fat loss as a result. If I gained strength, that means I also increased lbm ... granted the strength gains were only 2reps here and there or so but the cycles were short.

With a higher amount of AAS, it is possible. I'm not saying it is impossible, especially on a cycle of AAS with an 8 day low dose cycle of DNP... what i will say is, the gains you got were inhibited in some way.

Instead, of say, adding 8lbs of muscle, you might have been limited to 5. Still LBM... but not as much. Over an 8 day period, it isn't really that big of a deal... but... AAS usage, might also inhibit the fat loss potential of DNP.

If you dont get your protein you will lose muscle regardless.

I havent lost any muscle and I've used it twice (although I will never again). I did FEEL like I did b/c I was horribly carb depleted though.

I have tried dnp while on 100mg prop/day and 50mg dbol/day, I preserved my strength but didn't gain strength. I also tried it on 75mg/day of fina and that's when I gained the strength. The dosages aren't really relevent IMO as much as the compound used.

With AAS or DNP? With DNP I think the dosage is VERY important... on 800mg/day (been done) of DNP.... you'll be alot more catabolic than on, say 200mg a day. -- now if you are talking about AAS... I can probably agree with that. :)

I ment the aas dosage. It becomes hard to train on 600mg+ of real dnp, but the muscle loss still stays minimum to none for me.

It definately effects people differently. As cliche' as that sounds... if I take around 200ish, I'm balls out horrible... whereas I know some people who are at 800mg (powder mind you) and can get decent workouts in.

Different compounds of AAS will help you better while on DNP... Anavar is probably the best, while something like anadrol would probably be the worst.

so yeah, if DNP inhibits ATP at the cellular level, then does that mean creatine would have an adverse effect on fat loss (even when not doing DNP) ?

I was thinking about that also lately.... My guess, do not mix DNP with creatine for this reason. You may feel better with creatine, but you inhibit the fat burning properties of DNP.
