I just had an interesting conversation with a co-worker about fitness ,and out of the blue she asked me about DMSO. I started to explain to her how bodybuilders used it, but then realized I really didnt know how bodybuilders used it other than applying Fina. If anyone knows any other therapudic uses of this mysterious substance please post it Thanks

Not as far as I know it isn't.

It's not really used for anything other then finasol. I spoke to this dude once who said a BB'er used to it to "tighten his skin," hopefully that was an isolated case. lol But I've not heard of any other applications with it in the BB'ing world.

Is is used in other sports for strains and sprains, however. It does work for this, I know from personal experience. It's not that popular due to the smell you begin to take on after using it.

DMSO is used for a variety of other things besides fina. It is a popular choice to add dmso to a transdermal PH to increase the absorbtion rate. The reason it is not found in any pre-made PH transdermals is becsue it is illegal for companies to add it to there products, this is why many people buy (or create there own) a transdermal and then add Dmso to it. PS: it works great for acing joints and pulls, if you use a solution of 10% dmso or less, you will not experience side effects such as body order or bad breath. MSM, as most of us know is a great topical pain releaver, is a direct cousin to DMSO.

Like NSruffryder said, Anything you want to use in a transdermal/topical fashion, can me mixed and applied with DMSO.

My wife accused me of taking DMSO when I was trying MSM. She noticed the same garlicky ordor, not as strong though.
