Lately my schedule has caused my workouts to fall in right before lunch, now this means that instead of taking a protein shake after my workout, I just eat lunch instead. My question is...Is this ok? My lunches are usually pretty high in proteing/carbs anyway, but will eating instead of drinking my protein not take advantage of some biological window that getting protein in my body fast prevent muscle repair? Also, my current protein shake claims to have the amino acids necessary for proper muscle building (not verbatim), are there enough of these amino acids present in the protein sources I take in for lunch (usually chicken or beef)?
