I saw Disturbed last night at The Pageant in STL. Overall good show.
First band was Opiate for the Masses. There were ok, not great though.
Second band was Corrosion Of Conformity. This was hard to sit through. I was not into their style at all. They reminded me of a bad version of Down. Their equipment looked like it was from the 70s, almost like they had no money to buy shit.
Disturbed's opening was weak. They just walked out and started playing Guarded. I was expecting a curtain drop or something from these guys.
David's vocals are insane, great singer, one of the best metal singers out today, but the dude needs to work on his stage presence. He just walks around and dose poses. He talks to the crows alot, but sometimes he goes into his "shakespearien" talk. That needs to go.
Disturbed sounded great, the new bass player really moves around so that is good. That guitarist can come up with some great riffs. Overall terific performance. I was actually disappointed they did not play Land Of Confusion, I was really wanting to hear that live.
