Dear friends,

I appreciate 2Thick’s many contributions to our site. He is certainly a valuable asset to this or any bodybuilding community.

Unfortunately, although he has been an outstanding moderator over the years, he and I did not see eye to eye on what posts should and should not be deleted.

Specifically, if your posts do not violate our terms of service, then I DO NOT WANT OUR MODERATORS TO DELETE THEM. You deserve better than that and I intend to deliver.

Elite is and has always been a place where our members can speak openly and freely on a diverse range of subjects. Random deletions by rogue moderators cannot be allowed. It goes against the nature of this board and what has always made it great. And it has been unfair to you our very members who come here to post and who do not want your contribution to Elite to be unfairly removed.

I have installed, at significant expense, software that will log all thread and post deletions and you can rest assured that the issue of the disappearing post will end sooner rather than later.

I apologize to all of you who have inadvertently had post deleted and I promise that I am working to fix the situation. Please help keep all discussion of this topic confined to this thread.

I'm very sorry and sad to see 2thick go. He had been very helpful to me on at least once specific occasion.

We diddn't see eye to eye politcally, he is a flaming liberal and I'm more conservative (at least fiscally, but not socially).

But I am very glad to hear that there will be less post deletions. I've seen many cases where posts were deleted or locked simply because a mod took offense or didn't agree with the subject matter. That gets very discouraging at times.

I am sorry to diappoint, but no I would not. If he was within TOS, I would have nothing to say or do to him. People are different. Some people look at things and learn, and others dont. The "helpless" feeling of posting a good thread and having it deleted - does not feel good. I would not abuse my authority in those situations, if I were a mod.

I know how it feels to be on the wrong side of Rogue Moderators, and it really sucks. Alot of threads and posts I made this week were deleted. It is very frustrating. I am glad it is over. I am glad George spent the money to put in software to track these violations, and I am glad my plat accounts and sponsored accounts help support the betterment of EF.

I vehemently disagreed with 2Thick on more than topic, and yet never had a thread deleted or "got red".......either way this is a sad day for Elite if in fact 2Thick is gone. While I don't agree with 90% of his opinions, I still read every single one of his posts. Furthermore while I felt that a good portion of his posts didn't even warrant a reply, I still enjoyed and took something away form each one. He may not get me to change my political stance, but more than once he got me to at least take a look at the "other side".

Good point...there should be checks in place to govern the 'checkers'. Independant auditor types that don't have any reason to kiss any admin/mod butt and are just out to enforce the law.
