Dips-Lats doing more work when reps get hard

When I do dips as the reps get harder I feel like the lats start working more and take work off the pecs. Is this normal, or if its bad form, is there any way to correct it? Thanks for any help
 
While a dip done leaning forward targets the chest muscles primarily there other muscle groups that provide a supporting role(synergists) i.e triceps,delts and your lats. basically as your pecs are tiring, your are noticing the assistance of the synergists muscle groups more.
