Diplomacy or Dictating???

Sushi, on a side-note.....are you going to support Gore over his democratic contenders? I'm not so sure right now.

Ryan, yes. i forget the website but it had listed several possible candidates including Gore, Lieberman, Hillary, Sharpton, Bradley and a few others. I pick Gore because i think he's the right man for the job. we already elected him once, i guess we'll have to do it again. I'd like to see him have a female running mate. I think that would make a statement.

well, I like Gore and he certainly won the last election. But, I also believe that Democrats have to address a very important issue: Can Gore win in the general election? If the consensus says he cannot, then I think either Senator Edwards of North Carolina or Senator Kerry of Mass. would be the right choice.

Either one could take on Bush and win.

I don't know too much about either. are either one of them female. i mean, i'm pushing Gore and i think he should have a female running mate, but if he does'nt make it past the primaries, then who are the female cadidates out there who could take on bush? i just think we should get a woman into higher office.

Diane Feinstein, Senator from California, would be an excellent choice. She's tough, smart, and well-financed.

Edwards, the Senator from North Carolina, is a young trial lawyer, who in some ways has a Clintonesque appeal.

Kerry, the Senator from Mass. is a war veteran, very well-financed, and brilliant. But, I don't know how his Mass. background will play in Michigan or Iowa after Mike Dukakis.

The New Yorker had a huge article on Edwards a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed with what both his background and what he's doing in the Senate.

thanks for the 411. like i said though, i'm pushin gore but if he does'nt win the primaries then whoever does has my support.

I think Gore could still take most of the states he did before, but he would have to either pick up Tennessee or Florida. By the time 2004 rolls around the elderly in Florida will seek revenge on Bush for not getting them a REAL prescription drug benefit. So Gore might could win Florida---again.
