Diet structured around workout?? What do you think

I have been looking at ways of re structuring my diet so I can gain a little muscle while cutting some fat. I know that it is fairly impossible, but I want to find a way of doind it. I am on a CKD right now and have lost a lot of fat, but I am starting to see how thin I really am and want to get a little muscle, even though my strength is going up. The problem is that I have the spare tire thing going and want to get rid of it. I am 5'10" 165 right now at around 12-15% BF. I take an ECA and about 1500g ALA a day. My current diet looks like 200g/20g/125g p/c/f. I know it isn't a real CKD, but I can't seem to get enough fat in me without the protein getting higher. I know about flax and oils, but I can only take so much of that stuff.

Here's my idea. I work out Tuesday-Friday nights and do cardio on Saturday and a little on Monday. I was wondering if maybe I could take in just above maintanence levels on Days that I do weights and than well below on days without WO's.

Say on Tuesday-Friday I take in maybe 2700cals a day and on the other days take in 1700cals a day. Are there any positives or negatives to this?? Should I alter it a little so I don't start to really eat until the pre WO meal on Tuesday and start cutting cals again post WO on Friday??

I haven't seen a diet like this on the board so I was wondering if anyone has tried it and what the results were.

Never heard of anybody trying anything that specific way. Try it and let us know. Remember, the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Props for variation!

ALA is not useless unless you are eating carbs. ALA increases the number of Glut-4 transporters which increases nutrient uptake in the cells. ALA works better when consumed with a meal with either a large serving of carbs or high GI/GR carbs.

oh.. right.. geat idea.. lets load up on the ALA so we can "shuttle" all that fat into our cells.. why didn't i think of that...

OK, I am going to go ahead and try this diet out. It is not going to be low carb or anything. It is going to be about 40p/30p/30f so I am getting stuff into me to keep me working out good.

My question is this!!! If I am basing my high cal days around my workout do I want to start eating more after the 1st WO of the week or a few hours before. I can actually start about 12 hours before if I need to.

I am thinking that I need the higher cals the meal before WO and than start off there and than go back to lower cals 2 meals after my last WO of the week. That would give me about 12 hours of low cals before I do the 1st cardio session.

Also, I will be taking an ECA stack "Ripped Fuel" and ALA as well. I think it will be around 2000g on high cal days and 1500 on low cal days.

Just so you understand what I am talking about......On my high calorie days I will be taking in about 450cals a meal and on the low cals days I am going to be around 300cals a meal. All days taking in 6 meals a day. High carb/low fat 1st 3 meals and high pro/mod fat last 3 meals.

Come on all......lets have your opinions
