Diet for a new tongue piercing?

Ceebs

New member
I'm dying to get my tongue pierced, but what I can (or can't) eat during the time while it heals is holding me back. My diet right now consists of tofu, cottage cheese, protein powders, broccoli, tomatoes, bell peppers, and occasionally fibrous berries and protein bars.

Have any of you who follow a bodybuilding-type diet had your tongue done, and if so, did you stick to it while the piercing healed? What kinds of food could you absolutely not eat? Do you see any problems with the foods I listed above?

Thanks in advance, and karma to anyone who helps.

I haven't had mine done yet but would love to. The tomatoes and berries may be a bit acidic but the other stuff sounds good. Get it done at night so you have the first hours to rest the tongue before you have to eat. MRP shakes sucked up through a straw would be best I'd imagine.

I would guess semen is good for the diet? Didn't Chris Rock said, all chicks with their tongues pierced will suck your pee-pee.

yeah I was going to say the man juice diet would work. retarded minds think alike.

A few peeople told me that the days immediately after getting their tongue pierced they ate a lot of soups, soft food and liquid diet (not referring to alcohol). I'd stay away from anything acidic and also that would require a good deal of "chewing". But, ultimately, you will be the judge of what you can or can't eat by how sore your tongue is probably.

Invest in plastic spoons since the clanking of the metal on the piercing is really annoying. Make sure you follow the guidelines given to you about aftercare and rinsing your mouth after you eat anything.

Food to stock up on - soups, broth, pudding [you can add protein powder to it], Jell-O, cottage cheese and watermelon.

Avoid anything that is hot since this will heat up the metal in the piercing - not a good thing. Make sure you check the swelling and when it has gone down completely think about getting a shorter barbell - this will keep you from accidentally biting it when you are chewing [not a good thing].

The most important thing is to remember to rinse your mouth after you eat or drink anything [except water]. You might notice a little bit of white discharge from the underside of your tongue - so don't get scared. This usually happens when you don't rinse long enough, forget to rinse or smoked. On a side note, you should get an aftercare sheet from the shop or person that does this, make sure they go over all the details before you get it done.

Good luck !

i dont believe u have to change your diet signficantly to your new piercing, i would watch meats and things which can get caught and then cause infection but besides that as long as you mouth wash and take care of your mouth in general you are fine. :)
