Diet FAQ-preparation thread...

OK, we should try and do this... Post in this thread what you thing are the most Frequently asked questions concerning diet, cutting or bulking.... Just post the questions, we can then distribute them and create a nice FAQ post for the newbies to read... Just keep it simple, think about questions you see here every week. Let's take this week to populate this thread with questions and we can answer them next week

I'll start:

1. How can I lose fat and gain muscle at the same time
2. How many cals can/should I eat
3. What macros should I use
4. What are macronutrients ratios, how do I calculate them
5. It's OK to eat fruits while cutting?
6. It is OK to drink milk while cutting?
7. How much Protein per day?
8. What is dextrose and/or Maltodextrine?
9. Why to use Carbs post Work-out?
10. What is the Glycemic index? (GI)
 
Ill help ya out here Pint i figured ill throw in 10 too. I think if we all copypaste the list and just keep adding to it, but have the new list in the post so no double questions. just an idea, Good Job Starting this "Sticky" because it will be one in no time =]

::::can i really burn more fat on a ketogenic diet rather than an isocaloric diet containing carbs? If so, why doesn't eveyone diet in ketogenic fashion, and if not, what benefit do no carb diets give you
 
:) these last two questions are going to spark a lot of debate... we'll need to tackle the answers to those as a team (with several points of view)

I thought those questions would spark a great debate, with lots of differnt points of view. The more information the better, so people can understand more and more about the complex subject of diet.
