Die-cast or rubberised plates

Coldshot

New member
Was planning to get some 20kg plates soon since my deads are going up pretty fast. But i'm not too sure if its worth paying so much more for rubberised.

What do you guys think?

you mean bumper plates? those are expensive!

you would do better for a time just using metal ones, after all they are METAL! hehe. i dont think you will break them. ask bfold, he broke the bar first before the plates, i think the bar is a better deal to replace vs. buying rubberized plates IMO.

plus.....metal sounds nice. "clang, langalang!"

just so satisfying. :D

Gotta love the clang of the weights.

Do you have a lifting platform or area? If your dropping down to cement then it would be nice to have the bumpers.

My new gym uses the rubber plates and I like them a lot more than the iron ones. Matter of opinion I guess
