Didn't get the Envoy

After them letting us take it for a 24 hour test drive, the determining factor was my poor credit which meant we would have had to finance for 60 months instead of 72 thus making the payments too high. Nobodys fault but our own but it would have been really nice to get it. The practicality of it for us is way ahead of other models such as the expedition, yukon, tahoe, etc. That retractable roof is nothing short of amazing. I'm so bummed. Maybe once my fiance gets her 2nd job, we'll be able to afford it.

yeah, i saw where the roof is retractable...pretty cool...but sorry to hear about the credit...but just wait around for a bit then try again..

You don't want to be getting it now anyway. Wait a few years for all the other models to start incorporating retractable roofs and the price will come down a bit. Also, the first year for a new vehicle that introduces some new technology/style is usually filled with problems, which the competing companies will watch out for and make sure doesn't happen to their models.

dude... thank the lord you didn't get it...

all i'm going to say is according to the computerized display, 14mpg is avg.... yes its a v6

72 MONTHS!

For the love of...

That would be insane.

That's what I thought also but a lot of people are doing it. Cars are just too expensive nowadays to not do it. Damn that thing was nice. the one we wanted was 39k. It included: onstar, XM Radio, chrome wheels, digital ac controls, radio for the back, and even headlammp washers which was a little over the top. We decided that we didn't need a lot of it and went for the base model plus the foot rails for about 28k after rebates but the payments were still 700 a month. That kind of payment just isn't realistic for the money we make right now.

Uhg! You want your woman to work a second job just to get a GMC?

After 6 years you'd be paying something like 50k for that car.

Seriously - look at the Subaru Baja - it's like 25-28k, has all wheel drive, gets better gaqs mileage than most 4x4's, you can get On Star on it as well.

AND - it drives solid.

Good through rain & snow.
