surely someone has.

i know the shadow was/is a chemist...so there must be some other science people here.

I believe Sassy69 and Chesty have. Samoth is a physics major. Most real people stick with Engineering degrees tho :)

Nathan has an undergrad in astrophysics, currently working on a masters in some field of pysics (does Canada have the Facebook? lol)

I graduated in Physics and Math. The Math is always useful even if only as a way of organising thoughts. The Physics, after almost 30 years of disuse, has faded to the point where I'm confident of following a conversation but not always of being able to contribute.

lol @ a brit saying 'math'.

Physics and Maths have got to be two of the hardest subjects to study.

Point taken but my middle-school teacher always called it 'math' and it annoyed enough people that I stuck with it.

Fair enough. I thought you were just trying to fit in :)

American slang is funny though. I think i might start finishing all my sentences with 'period'. Period.

or...werd.

and i'm gonna start saying 'i could care less' when i really mean 'i could not care less'.

I knew a German guy who often said, "I could give a shit about that".

I knew someone who always carried two pins in his lapel waiting for the time that someone said, "For two pins, I'd ...". It's not an expression one hears much anymore.

It's become one of my pet hates.

The things people say without thinking amazes me. I don't think i've ever seen anyone from US say "i couldn't give a shit"...only "I could".

Do these guys not realise that they're saying exactly what they don't want to say?

Of course not.

Most also say: "I could care less" when what they really mean is, "I couldn't care less."

While we're at it, why do people say they need to take a shit? You don't take a shit, you leave one, man! (courtesy George Carlin)
