OMG, I played baseball for a school in the GSC. Arkansas Tech Baby! They got beat in the first round of the playoffs this year I believe.

Nah. I went to West Georgia....we didn't make it to the dance. North Alabama beat us 20-19 on a last second play.

This is UCA's last game in the GSC. They're moving up to D1-AA next year.

I think West Georgia will move up within 7 years. They should have near 15,000 students by then.

My ex-girlfriend played volleyball at UCA, they have as many students as the University of Arkansas. I think the only reason they weren't already D1 was because of funding. It is a big school. My school was 5,000, UCA was 15,000, but we were in the same conference. We still handled em though.

In football until this year, Tech has always had our number. What was it this year? 49-17 or something?

I thought they had 12-13k? Maybe not. I like to exaggerate to make myself feel cool. Tech has been pretty solid in football for the last couple of years. Our all-american linebacker didn't play because he robbed a liquor store. Nice work genius.

tech always seems to have that one impact player that turns a game. For a couple years it was that damn fullback or tailback that looked like a fullback. I think he was from Danville. I hated tech games, lol.


I started at UCA in 2000 and there were less than 10k then, I think only 7-8k. Not for sure, but checking now...

I think you're talking about Travis Horn. He broke some records that game. He was a bad mama jama, a pretty cool cat too. Tech and UCA is definitely a pretty intense rivalry. I guess they are/were about twice as big as Tech. We had less than 5k when I started there in 98.

Isn't that the truth! I graduated in '03 and I'm still in therapy from my time there.

WOW! I'm having flashbacks. Everybody use to drive to tiny Blackwell to get their booze. Being a baseball player there was definitely no shortage of driving my drunk friends over there. I am not much of a drinker so it didn't bother me. The funny things is that I only went to the whattaburger probably twice in 5 years. I blew it.
