USPS is VERY BAD advice!
First, they have cameras in there which record YOUR FACE and YOUR Transaction.
(I have court documents and witness testimony where people were told, 'We have you on camera making this transaction at this time."")
It doesn't matter if it's cash or not, you are recorded.
The worse part is that ANYthing which the PO doesn't like results in you being charged with additional MULTIPLE FELONIES of Mail fraud and the like!
Only the USPS can issue a felony for mail and none of the other carriers, so DO NOT use USPS unless you like the thrill and like paying for a service which will automatically nail you for a felony.
And that's what happens in mail delivery cases. The prosecutor makes an oh so nice gesture to drop the felony mail charges to get you to take a plea for the AS possession.

with USPS you can buy postage and drop the package anywhere, give it to a carrier, drop it in a box, give it at the counter (if you have already paid postage and use a USPS box there is no way to tie you to it)
though this is all irrelevant as the issue here is from satchboogie who is referring to services INTO the US from abroad.

It even says right on the mail box that if you have a package you must go to the counter.
You CANNOT just pay for package shipment and then drop it anywhere.
That is why they have the cameras and make you take it to the counter. Hmm, where's those big prepaid package drop boxes? THERE ARE NONE cause you CANNOT DO IT!

Also know that if you send your Income tax info via mail and it's 'not right', you are then nailed for mail fraud, too.
Nice system and some definitely need to learn how it truly works.

It's in the newspapers all the time.
Same goes for CC applications.
Who said I was presenting a case on it? It's just an example of how mail felonies are tacked onto willy nilly to anything.
But thanks for bringing it up and trying to make something out of nothing instead of educating people on how to stay safe.

btw- priority mail and first class mail cannot be searched without a warrant (there are exceptions) (high risk ship points)

private services have the right to open your package at will. though they usually dont.
though use of the mails for illegal purposes is a federal offense, so agree that in that respect it is an added "danger" to those mailing illegal items.
