dextrose or maltodextrin PWO?

dextrose = sweet
malto = bitter


I think malto is marketed as "complex" but it's really not, or something like that. I use Dextrose.

Sgt...how many scoops/tbs/etc?

Also, i will be getting some creatine to use Pre-Post workout.
 
i'd like to pose a question in this thread if you don't mind mm...sorry for threadjacking but since you asked which is better i thought i'd ask if there is a huge difference in using dextrose or gatorade or a banana etc for insulin spike pwo.

what type of creatine you going with out of curiousity?
 
lol, yah that stuff is cheap.

I believe it's 1 cup = 74 grams of carbs

(A few pounds goes fast at 1 cup/serving)

I'm toying around with it, i've never used it consistently before.

I've used .5 cup pre and post too.
 
gatorade = glucose = dextrose

good stuff, got some added sodium and potassium in there too I think, so that's good.

16 or 20oz has like ~40grams if I remember correctly.

Bananas are tasty, I like bananas. lol

Fruit is great for you... if your going for the "insulin spike" all the fiber in a banana I don't think would help PWO.

jpt, a gatorade is common practice to use via PWO, but you need to add some whey to make it perfect.

SGT is right about the banana. Plus banana contain fructose.....

i stay away from fructose, since its the only sugar that can be stored w/o an insuline spike...

my pwo shake ususally is whey and a banana...but i've been using whey and gatorade lately

pre workout i've been using muscle milk which i absolutely love. i def notice i'm fuller all around...

PWO is DEF better in the gatorade.

I LOVE Muscle Milks......
We train on Saturdays, 10-1....drink our musle milks...then train muy thai fighting....then drink PWO....

the muscle milk seems to fill me up like u said, and the fats help it digest slower

The amazing thing is that the hulkster has such a bad rep in the rasslin' business for having no workrate in the ring, having only three moves, and using his pull with the bookers to have everything go his way and hold down some serious young talents. He also is known for refusing to job (wcw paid millions to get the ultimate warrior in just so hogan could beat him once since they never got to have an expected rematch in wwf)...

but... the you watch that show and just get the impression that he is an undeniably good guy who just genuinely loves his family and is appreciative of his position. not much else u can ask for out of someone.
 
I have a big 20lb bag of pure dextrose. I love it, but have to make sure I take it with some solid carbs like some granola bars to slow it's absorption otherwise I crash too quick.

BTW, it's actually semi-sweet. Calling it sweet will make people expect a taste like sucrose. It's actually only about half as sweet tasting as sucrose.
