Dexter Jackson "NEVER LOSE MUSCLE TECHNIQUE"

now i have read a couple of articles of dexter jackson saying that you dont have to lose muscle when you are cutting and that he doesnt lose any like other body builders when he is in that phase but he never says what his workout routine or regemin is to do that. Does anyone knows??????

I'm no expert, but this is what I think:

Don't cut on protein. If your body breaks down muscle (for which you used protein to build), it needs protein.

Well, when you combine dexters good genetics with an ungodly amount of AAS, slin, gh, and igf, it isn't hard to see why he doesn't loose muscle.

from what I read he doesnt do much, if any, cardio and eats mcD's when he's cutting.. does that give you some indication of how useful his advice is when it comes to regular people? ;)

I have the answer. You start with some of the best structural genetics on the planet, throw in one of the best metabolisms on the planet, and toss in steroids, growth hormone, slin, and a little bit of God knows what else.....there you have it.

I second what everyone else said. Have you ever seen a true drug free competitor after cutting? And I mean TRUE drug free, NOT a guy who doesn't use a ludicrous amount of gear, thus looks smaller than most pros, so a mag will stick up his pic and say he is 'natural'. Every guy who competes drug free, that I know personally is drug free, looks absolutely depleted when cutting and DOES lose muscle.

Dexter also doesn't get too far above his competition weight, he isn't one of those guys who needs to drop from 300lbs down to 225 to compete. So, yeah, he doesn't lose as much as some guys when you look at the percentage of his actual bodyweight that he has to drop.

When you 'cut' eating more protein can preserve muscle, but unless you take gear there is NO way around losing muscle. Genetics, gear, more genertics, and more gear play a role in Dexter's methods. Not trying to sound negative and definitely not trying to flame, but you can't really find much use in the advice of a pro bodybuilder when you look at the circumstances they do things under. If somebody is going to dispute this, they are either one, doing it for argument's sake, or two, plain old naive.

Very good point. This is key, really. Many people nowadays are tricked into thinking putting on massive amounts of weight (muscle and fat) while bulking is the only way to go to put on muscle mass. What these people don't realize is not only does it make cutting that much harder, but significant muscle loss is unavoidable. (I used to be one of those guys, so not trying to bash anyone). Slow and steady wins the race - it's a marathon, not a sprint

So how much weight would you shoot to gain in a one week period while bulking? I have read that shooting for a weight gain of 1 lb / week is about right.
