I have been trying to not get too excited over the possibility of moving to the US to be with my bf, but it is finally getting closer! For the past 6 months I have been trying to get a Visa to work in the US...it has been a VERY frustrating process! And hard on our already tough LDR.

I spoke with the director of human resources today and had a mini interview over the telephone! She told me to fill out an application on-line and she will arrange the appropriate program for me! I was in shock and didn't ask her some questions I should have....It's pretty big bucks to get this Visa in gear, but I can hardly wait! I need to ask her if I fill out this form and send the $$, if I am securing a position...real important one I did not ask...oooops! And the other biggy I wasn't sure about asking yet was rate of pay...

I have been shaking for the past hour trying to calm down. I've e-mailed my bf like 4 times and left him 2 messages already! He's gonna think I'm nuts when he gets home in another 8 hours!

Had to share my good news with everyone, since usually I'm posting about how sad I am that I can't get to the US.

Yes it sucks! My boyfriend lives in Canada and I in the US. Moving isn't the big deal. It's being legally able to work, seek medical attention, etc. that sucks. Without a visa you're screwed either moving to Canada from the US as a US citizen or vice versa.
