sugars, white bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. are the real enemy imho...nothing but empty calories...the human body knows what to do with protein and fat, but it's not equipped (generally speaking) to efficiently/effectively deal with carbohydrates...these should be viewed as "treats" and used accordingly.

Government butting into peoples' lives = bad. Why punish the fat foods makers? Fat people and thin people have the choice of what to buy and what to eat, or not. Los Angeles outlawed the sale or possession of soda pop on school campuses a few years ago, and it hasn't done anything except bankrupt a few smalltime investors who owned the coke machines in the schools. So bottom line: Kids are still obese, and a few people got added to the welfare logs to boot.

in our school district, they won't give the kids salt or butter for their vegetables anymore (hell, they won't even give it to the teachers!)...what a fucking crock of shit...and guess what the outcome has been? surprise! kids aren't eating their vegetables anymore...there are a bunch of fucking nitwits running our country.
