Finally, a word to describe our current governmental situation.
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government
where the least capable to lead are elected by the least
capable of producing; and, where the members of society
least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded
with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth
of a diminishing number of producers.
The SNAP/Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed The Animals"... because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and not learn to take care of themselves.
Thus endeth today’s lesson in Government Irony.
