delt injections

Not sure I've seen a 25g 5/8" before. Those are usually 29g, which I had zero luck with. Depends on the concentration of your winny. I find with 100mg/ml it clumps up sometimes. Otherwise it should work fine.

Yep i have done it its ok .

Brad.

could i inject primo and winny in the delts with a 25g 5/8 needle?
You're not mixing the two are you?

I got 23g pins for my winny (which I won't be using for a while, and I decided I'm just going to drink it if I do end up ever using it) because I read too many times where 25gs were getting clogged. Never shot primo but I'd guess 25g will work for primo. As for length, I have used 5/8" and 1". I prefer 1" because I feel I don't have to bury the needle. I just cut the pin cover to allow me to push the 1" in about 3/4" and then hit the pin cover so that I can steady myself to aspirate. With out the pin cover on, I sit there trying to hold it steady at 3/4" in, but I always seems to move in and out and all around while trying to aspirate, and I always have a little more pain after an event like that. With the pin cover on and cut to allow me to insert the needle 3/4" in and get stability by being able to continue to exert some pressure makes the shot painless. With 5/8" I have to bury the pin, especially if I am doing more than 1cc.

Both sizes will work, just prefer the 1".

My rec, just drink the winny

For IM injections, if you have zero body fat, you can probably get away with 3/4 or 5/8 needles, but the fact is that with only a 1/2" insulin needle, you're so close to the muscle sheath that it might not get all the way into the muscle tissue. Personally, I use 21g 1" for delts, and 19g 1.5" for glutes. I'm at 5.3% bf, and that seems to mean that my muscle tissue starts about 1/8" below the skin on the delts, and about 1/2" on the glutes. But I don't think there's any rule about it. It's all preference, as long as you get the injectible all the way into the muscle tissue beyond the muscle sheath.

Only thing I need to add, is that if you're trying to conceal needle marks, you are stuck with thin-gauge needles (pun intended), but still need to have them long enough. I have plenty of visible needle marks on both delts and glutes, but I'm never going to be in competitive sports or in any bodybuilding contests.
