Hey, I've searched the archives and get conflicting viewpoints. I've also downloaded several PDF documents dealing with IM vaccination injections and they disagree too. After that, I hit spotinjections (which seems to use the 90° angle straight in approach) and 2Thick's Web site (which uses the 45° - 65° angle).
The idea for the upward angled injection seems to be that it follows the muscle fiber; the straight-in approach I've not seen a rationale behind (but wonder if it's more or less that there will be less travel between where the point is inserted versus where the injection is deposited).
This would be my first delt injection, I need to inject tonight so I'm kinda freaked
I've always injected glutes before.
Can somebody talk about how they inject delt? (I know it's been covered, but like I said above, I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for in my searches).
Help appreciated.
