anyone here read his stuff? I haven't, don't quite know what to make of him.....but saw on Colbert a few weeks ago.......I wouldn't mind at least seeing what he's got to say....even if I come away thinking he's nuts. So....anyone a "follower" of his?

I have a ton of his audio stuff. I love him. a teacher in highschool turned us on to him. we used to meditate to his stuff.

his 7 Spiritual Laws of Success audio tape is good

his books are definitely worth a shot. But then again, what really matters is the purpose of your search.

Just watchout for the typical marketing gimicks he seems to be reeking with.

ok, I'm completely and utterly vexed now..........so terribly vexed!

what ARE you trying to say about Chopra? Either you listen to him or you don't......you said before you're straight.....and I'm asking what that has to do with listening to Chopra

winning with integrity : getting what you want w/o selling your soul by leigh steinberg.

worth 10,000 chopra tapes.

i've got jesus and that is enough for me

well he never wrote a book ;)

D Chopra is awesome. His words and and his books helped me on my journey.
There is still a line I think when I'm having trouble coping

"To try to grasp and hold on to something is like trying to hold on to a river. Like life, the river is forever moving and changing. It cannot be controlled"
In other words...let go, surrender!

lmao, you're kidding...don't pay attention to all that.

my family and i heard of chopra years ago, somewhere around the time Ageless Body, Timeless Mind came out. i've read that and How to Know God. and perhaps one other really small/short one. back then, he was relatively new on the mainstream media scene, and so one would see him doing the rounds on the talk shows, etc...i started to grow tired of hearing the same-old buzzword talk.

but that's not necessarily his fault, and the ideas contained in his work are very powerful and at least somewhat-valid. he's good at getting a point across, which is often related to the unity of things, or the intelligence which makes the "universe" (or the body in particular) work the way it seems to.

particularly interesting, as you probably know, is his fusion of ancient philosphy and modern life/science. for example, he'll cite research whose conclusions hint at connections between mind and body that will at once make sense, yet perhaps also surprise you. i can't speak for the validity of the studies he mentions, or all of his reasoning, but it all amounts to worthwhile "food for thought."

i had to end with a cliched phrase. sweet.

k for u bro. i have his books- the latest one (the burden of proof) is awesome- check it out.

Saw him speak live about a month ago and it was incredible. He brings a total sense of calm and what he says is all common sense but he puts it in a way that suddenly makes things much clearer and puts things in a bigger picture. He's got the typical rackets with the "wellness institute" and stuff going but I think he's a brilliant man and has a very valid message. Ageless Body, Timeless Mind is one of my all time favorite books.

I heard him speak on Art Bell's "Coast to Coast AM" am radio show - I get a kick out of that stuff --- they talk about all the weird stuff - UFOs, Bigfoot, Nessie, etc etc etc. So they are yammering about how Deepak has been big on Oprah's list and then he cuts in in the middle of nowhere and goes "You know if I married her, her name would be Oprah Chopra"....

The show host was silent. I busted a gut....

i concur...his teachings are a great stepping stone for the more complex, he is easily read and understood. linking the mind, body and spirit into the universe...his peacefulness resinates remarkably....
