deep stretching

i was wondering if stretching the muscles worked after a work out, as well as sore ones is a good way to help you recover faster and make the muscle bigger/stronger?

not just basic touching your toes, but really feeling that burn and holding it. 2-3 sets of 30 seconds. 1-2 stretches for each muscle group.

after my work out i did

dumbbell chest stretch - 50 pounds 3x30 seconds
hanging lat stretch - bodyweight 3xfailure
body weight tricep stretch - 3x-30
bicep stretch - 3x30
rear and front delt stretch - 3x30
quad stretch - 3x30
hamstring - 2x30
calf stretch - 100 pounds - 2x30

i just figured more flexability = more ROM which = more strength

any thoughts

Great idea to stretch more OAK.

You need a lot more hip/lower back and 'core' type stretches, however.
 
Yea I always wonder about it. I cant even touch my toes when standing up anymore. Does anyone know of a good read on some good stretches with techniques. I Have lost most of ly flexibility and fell that i am more susceptable to injury
 
musketeer - true, i dont know alot, im currently doin what i know, if u can give me some more id like that

i use some DC stretches, the DB chest one, the hanging lat one, and that all i rememberd...

i like them alot, ive done then m-w-f and i can already notice a difference.

i had some knee problems, but the quad stretching is helping that.
