Nandrolone (deca-durabolin) is an anabolic, muscle building, steroid hormone whose main use is to help increase muscle tissue known as body cell mass. Taking therapeutic amounts of this hormone under close medical supervision can help support the growth of muscle tissue and promote strength and energy in several chronic conditions such as HIV/AIDS; however nandrolone is not FDA-approved for this indication.

One of the things that nandrolone DOES NOT DO is to promote the healing of ligaments. In fact, one of the suspect reasons that professional sports athletes frequently injure their ligaments is thought to be the overuse of anabolic steroid hormones. The reason for this is that while anabolic hormones build and strengthen muscle tissue, they do not build and strengthen the ligaments that the muscles pull on to move your limbs. This can place an extreme stress on the ligaments and make them more subject to strain and rupture.

Maybe on paper, but in the real world I can tell you that using deca (and only in cycle mind you) it did wonders for my painful elbow, the pain even cessated for ~6-9 months after the discontinuation of the drug...So NO it did not heal it per se, but it made it feel a hell of alot better for almost a year (after a 10 week cycle of it 300 mg/week)

was that IP deca 300mg/ml in a 10ml vial?

Deca make my joints feel a lot better. It dosen't heal them but makes them a hole lot better for a long time.

So does cortisone but you wont catch me anwhere near it. masking the pain is the main reason for long term and permanent damage that so many athletes suffer. I would personally rather fix the problem instead of temporarily address the symptom of the underlying problem.

Well, I'm with terminator on this one. I've used deca at different times over the years to successfully cure chronic pain in my left elbow, left knee and right ankle. Not just mask the pain, but to fix whatever the root of the problem was (notice I'm not saying that the problem was tendon/ligament because I never had it diagnosed; I think this is a strong possibility though).

Of course, I was very careful about how I trained the injured areas during the rehabilitation period. There's no doubt that there's potential for these areas to become further injured if one trains as if there were no injury due to a perceived masking effect... I do belive that if one goes into it conservatively and with the intent to rehabilitate, that deca can work to this effect. It's not a magic bullet though.
