Deca for joints n back injury

Is deca usefull in healing injuries.
Ive got a few injuries which are really getting to me and making it hard for me to continue my training!

Ive got a dodgy right shoulder,
My elbows hurts the most when I lift. My left knee plays up when I do deep squats and I've got a slight bulge in l5 disc. For which I'm been going to chiro every week!

I really need help so I can over come these injuries and start my lifting again.

Deca would be my last choice for Anti-inflammatory treatment.
All AAS that dont dry your joints out will make it seem like you're healed.
Honestly, I'd go through the motions of treatment and Physical therapy before masking the injuries with Anti-inflammatories. OR risk it just getting worse or sidelining you for ever. patience bro

just my opinion.

I agree, I would never use Deca for a joint repair replacement.

Lose weight and lower the weights you are using. Deca for this reason is rather stupid. Have you ever used Test even yet before?

I see this question pop up in threads quite a bit.

the only way to make a good recovery with shoulder and elbow injuries especially is to rest , that my honest opinion bro .

we have all been there..i fucked up my shoulder on weighted dips and damaged a tendon on tricep overheads...i hit them with ice ,difenolac gel ,glucosamine and also needto skeletal balm...they all help.

hit your legs hard for a few weeks and be patient.

good luck with your recovery.

Bro I'm been resting for the last 2 weeks no gym at all.
Been to chiro and he advices me to stop training for a month! And stop doing deadlifts n squats for a while regarding my back.

Everything is fucked up I was thinking of competing next year !

well you won't, we need a long talk.

it sux but sometimes taking 2 or more months off now will save you from having to take 2 years off down the road.. wish someone wouldve told me that about my shoulder years ago.. missed about 2 years because of bad / poor advice from my coach.

I'm suprirsed by the responses i'm reading.. this is awesome everyone has given you sound advice to rest your injuries instead of keeping pound away. wish i had guys like this advising me when i was an endurance athlete and fucked up my legs from running through injuries/pain like my supposed 'friends' i ran with told me to just run through it. fact is that it isn't their body they are putting at risk so yeah they are gonna tell you just push through it and don't worry if you get crippled.

i still to this day even 4 years later get shin pains when i run and my ankles get shot from long walks. all cause i didn't STOP when my body said it hurt. i even was told by a very respected owner of a running shop to take ibuprofen before i ran for the pain, which thankfully i was smart enough to ignore. point is your body knows better than anyone and if it hurts then lessen the weight or just work on another body part for a while. you will come back stronger than before

as far as deca having run it at 300 and 400mg a week 2 different times I don't recall it making a lick of difference in my joint health, think its incredibly overrated for that purpose for a bodybuilder who pounds away hard its not gonna do much at all to make it worth it from the recovery aspects. plus you are just gonna come off anyway and have to deal with the injury so why just delay the inevitable. a better idea and some thing you can stay on for life without worrying about suppression is krill oil.. certain foods like olive oil, omega cage free eggs, heck even 100% grassfed beef.... if you are a sportsmen you can catch certain fish that are rich in omegal oils.. I know Spanish Mackerel is one that is rich in them

After considering all the advices I think taking time off would be good.

I will take a month off to recover !

One more question
Can I do some swimming around this time off. I have heard swimming fasten recovery?

Thanks

you need to get a pro to look at your injury and give you a plan to get 100% recovered.

you need the injury to be truly diagnosed and then a rehab plan for it.

in the meantime i would suggest looking at mobilitywod.com and watch the videos that talk about the shoulder or any other nagging injuries you have.

Got me X-ray done and the report says I've got a slight bulge in my disc.

And damaged tissue in my shoulder and knees

its the same with me right now. some nagging shit.. im just training around the injurys and still doing well. the disc is the one you have to worry about the most. that my friend if not delt with properly can be life changing. been there, done that... just lighten things up and don't do anything that hurts. you will heal and feel better with time. the just go back into it slow and steady... good luck bro

Maybe your overtraining... Whats ur routine looking like... deca is not gonna fix it. Increase Omegas for joints, n just take a break from swuating n deadlifting, n focus elsewhere. Be surprisred at how the body response to time off like a month. Shouldnt lose much...

I agree with monkey. Change ur training. Low weight with negatives, or slow with full contraction... There ways around it..

Just taking a month off altogether.
And will do some light cardio and swimming just to fasten recovery

Using deca has made a difference for me in terms of relief at 375 mg.But also i spent 3 months post injury working on stretching using bands and mobility of the shoulder and surrounding muscles. Then progressing to very very light weights using exercises thst focussed on stability of the joint. So patience and careful programming to work on a preventative model of exercise. Kept Lower body all compound movements AND care to warm up properly. Alan Thrall provides informative stuff on you tube. If the injury is reoccurring then get an informed sports osteopath to look at your technique and identify specific weaknesses/ imbalances that may need addressing. If the injury is current seek specialist advice before any further treatment and consider massage and ultrasound treatment if your osteopath deems it suitable.

Diet wise... as other posts have said consider suppliment with quality fish oil, use coconut oil in cooking olive oil in foods you don't heat. Eat fatty fish every day i have either salmon or some sort of ocean fish. Thaat has helped me too. It took some time to notice effect but it helps.
