Deadlifts off the block

So, I've run across the technique here and there for helping starting speed and strength. This is my weak point in deadlifts so I'd like to try these at some point.

Has anyone done these and have any tips 'n tricks? How high a block?

I was thiinking about loading up a bar with 25's to try and get the same effect.

I also read to do these at about 50% 1RM and lift at max speed.

Any input appreciated.

if you have to, take one of those aerobic steps, and do your deads off of that. they work perfect. your feet will be just underneath the bar.

I dont like stretching any lower than the 45's go. Maybe I should work on it because right now with anything over about 250lb it feels DANGEROUS!

Thanks I think I will try that soon, my gym has plenty of aerobic steps :)
