Deadlift questions

When deadlifting, should the bar rest on the ground at the end of each rep? I find that my back stoops at the bottom of the exercise if I don't rest the bar on the ground after a rep.

Also, can anyone give me a link to a video of good deadlifting form?

Thanks.

Yes. Otherwise the muscles never fully relax so you can contract them again and the glycogen just gets drained rather than helping to rip muscle fibers. All exercises have a relax phase - sometimes it is lockout.

Not letting it touch (briefly, mind you) is akin to lateral raises where you just hold the weight in front of you until your arm gives out.

You are doing in right. Touch and go reps allow momentum to transfer. You'll see guys barely get the bar off the floor on their first rep and bang out a set of 10. It's called the "dead"lift because the weight is dead on the ground. You can touch and go warmups but for real sets the bar should fully deweight onto the ground. This also gives you the ability to readjust into your starting position as frequenty with heavier weight you don't wind up being setup perfectly.
