Deadlift question

I just got back from my second 5x5 workout, i did shoulders and back. Wow i got a great shoulders workout and my back workout was alright. I did deadlift, low rows and pullups. My back is sore as fuck. But the question i have is..... do ur legs take the majority of the deadlift stress? when i did my deadlift i felt like my legs did most of the work. Did i do them wrong..... regardless my legs got a hell of a workout too!!!!

btw it was my first time doing deadlifts and arnolds..... arnolds are a HELL of an excercise and deadlifts seem to work my legs real well and my back too hopefully!!!
 
not sure if it matters, but did you DL conventional or sumo (wide, wide stance--hands inside)?
 
I guess it really depends on your form...hard to tell without a picture or video. Were you going heavy?
 
I depends on how your are driving with you legs too. If you drop down and your ass is lower then your back you should be ok, if your ass starts to stick up in the air, thus making you do a stiff leg deadlift, then you need to work on your form or drop the weight.
 
ya i think that is it, sadly my legs are really weak. they are sore as FUCK today, as is most of my body.......
 
stif leg deadlift are a bitch i dreaded them back in high school. always made me walk funny afterwards........ and NO i didnt get anything in my ass for any of you dirty minded assholes. I am straight
