Ok your worming it! You should be square for awhile! Don't get me started on China and Taiwan! 2025 is my projection date for the big dance if no more dramatic events take place! Otherwise Kaboom and hope the second phase "Shield" works and can take down the multiple warhead ICBM's!

Shit... I hope it goes as far as 2025... I think near term (1-5 years) there will be a major incident of some sort. Not enough for all out blows, but enough to get China in the mood to kick up their typical nationalisitic fervor.... after that it all depends on well we can de-spin the whole situation. If handled poorly, it could result in a huge fricken mess within another 5 years after the initial incident.

We still have the nuke advantage! 20 years from now China will be up to par! I suspect though the Global Jihad will involve China real soon! And that's when people are gonna start really caring about a missle shield. It works against miinimal deterrence countries. ASSuming you got all phases covered.

The shield would be just like Clint Eastwood. "Do you feel lucky?" Will my incomplete and untested multi-phase shield nullify your few weapons?

Agreed, but I was talking about the second phase shield! The minimal deterrence shield will only be up for a decade or so and missiles will not have any part in the second phase!

True - you are looking at a 25 year time frame and I'm looking at 10 year time frame. Different shields.
