DBOLs

I love all the DBOL ONLY posts. It has always baffled me why gains are lost on DBOL though and I have asked the question before. Looking for a more scientific answer really as to why you loose it.

What about the strength gains? Do they go also? I know that a lot of the gain is from water bloat aswell but if some1 were to do a 4 week cycle at 20mg a day what sides do you think would be experienced (for AS virgin) and how much is keepable if done correctly?

I guess the question is are you prepared to risk GYNO, Hairloss, and having to endure CLOMID therapy to gain 15lbs and then keep only 4lbs? Dont seem all that worth it really.

How many have actually run dbol only cycles here? I bet none besides some fuckin'a newbie who had no idea how to train or eat either so of course he lost his gains.

Well, from my own experience - someone who's run 15+ cycles lifetime (I don't really remember exactly how many anymore but it's north of that number) and knows how to train - I retain my gains.

I've run 4 dbol only cycles ranging from 4-6 weeks in duration at dosages from 15-30mg - generally in a pyramid as this is what was done in the days of dbol only cycles and no clomid. I'm still an advocate of tapering this drug as going from 30mg to 0mg in a day is quite a change for the body.

I kept virtually all of my strength - I train power/olympic lifting pretty extensively so this was important - and the majority of my size. I would say almost all but in the first week you are going to drop some water (I don't consider this losing muscle but some here do).

Typically around 70% total retention (15% was probably water and the other 15% is just loss of going natural again - nobody ever retains everything so some losses for HPTA recovery, maybe minimize these with clomid/arim). I generally took extensive time off between cycles so it's not as if I just jumped back on juice again and stopped the loses.

So, from experience (and other guys can confirm this as they've been successful too) you can retain gains on dbol only.

If anyone has experience actually running a dbol only cycle and losing it all (not just quoting popular bullshit rhetoric) I guarantee your training blows and your diet is off.
 
Not to burst anyone's bubble here but it does require a fair amount of dedication coming off a dbol cycle.

I wouldn't overly restrict calories and I'd concentrate on keeping strength in the core exercises (Dead, squat, bench) while adjusting volume and intensity down in the assistance lifts for a period of several weeks. I would definitely advise a taper if running dbol alone - I've gone down to 5mg EOD but if running clomid afterward I'd probably taper to 10mg (5mg x 2 daily).

There is a reason people like to finish off their cycles with other drugs (if doing an oral cycle <not promoting this> one could taper the dbol into several weeks of winstrol or var).

The vehemence of my response was that people quote this rhetoric without experience and experience in many indivduals with significant history indicates otherwise.

Keep in mind also that I wouldn't recommend this as good cycle advice to every newb as I simply don't believe most are able to train properly and many are overly concerned with their diets on bulking cycles (eat a lot just don't put on too much fat). This tied into my other newbie gripe on why everyone seems to need 1 gram+ to grow on a first cycle when the majority of users just a decade ago ran 200-500 (max) first cycles often with only 1 drug and grew very well. I guess human physiology is moving forward at an unbelievable rate - next week we'll all have webbed feet.
 
Madcow, I did do a short d-bol only cycle, 4 weeks, tapered up and down and kept most of my gains.


But I was also on primo, so I just attributed the kept gains to the primo, I stayed on the primo for at least 12 weeks.

My cycle was 4 weeks of d-bol tapering up to 30mg ED and 400mg per week of primo for 12 weeks, then Clomid.

Also occasionally took nolvadex, as I felt gyno starting.


May consider a simply d-bol only cycle with liquidex and clomid.

i got a friend on just thai dbols, about 6-8 of them per day. fucker gained about 20 pounds,good strength gains, gets aggressive..im on test only and i can swear by itself it sucks..i love dbol,. im going back on it very soon! but i will do the test with it, just cuz i think it will work better together..
 
I'm completely with Madcow on this one. In fact I'd be willing to bet money that someone who has their diet and training down, and understand how to come off of a cycle correctly, can make awesome gains on an oral only cycle whether it be Dbol or not. I'd have no trouble believing that this person's gains would out-weigh some fuckhead who half-asses his diet and training yet takes a gram of test along with whatever else his local drug dealer sold him thinking that drugs alone are the key to salvation.

If you lose your Dbol gains then you have no business doing a Dbol cycle in the first place because you haven't done your homework. That or you are a complete "n00b" and thought all that weight was muscle when it's just water.

At any rate I'll be doing a little experiment in a few weeks(see my thread about Dbol and dieting) and we'll see how my theories hold up. I will be doing 35mg Dbol and 20mg Ox daily for 6 weeks. Then I'll taper off of the Dbol for 2 weeks while starting my clomid therapy and then run the clomid completely alone on week 3. I expect to lose none of my gains, other than what's considered normal for any cycle.
