dbol only cycle question

hey guys. i have been waiting for many weeks to get an order so i can start a cycle of test prop, eq, and var. there has been a problem, supposedly, with the supplier but i do not think i have been scammed.

anyhow, as a "free gift" this supplier sent me 200 5mg pink thai dbol in the interim. i had never considered doing dbol but when they came, since i was anxious to start another cycle, i eagerly gobbled them down. i ended up doing a 4.5 week cyclk at 30mg/day.my cycle ended last friday and i happily gained 8 lbs.

well last weekend i got some minor food poisining and got sick and was unable to eat much for a couple days. monday or tuesday i got back in the gym but decided not to weigh myself for a few days.

finally today i weighed myself and almost passed out! i lost all eight pounds in one week! my strength went way down too.

for those of you who have used dbol: is this typical to lose weight THIS quickly?!?? karma for any good responses, advice, or experiences. and no, i did no pct because dbol was just sort of a thing to take before my real cycle started.

Not sure what to say, but WOW. 1000 posts, u should've known better! Go post in the Anadrol only thread before he wastes sauce too :chomp:
 
the conventional answer is you gained alot of water, you lost alot of water. also, with no PCT, the extended catabolic post-cycle test/cortisol ratio ate whatever muscle u gained.

i'm not in the dbol-hating school, btw. with lots of lean eating, and pct, even a dbol only cycle is worth it. the real value of dbol, however, is as a qik kickstart to a longer injectables cycle.

p.s. arnold, ferrigno etc used dbol as a mainstay. thats good enuf for me.

Most of the weight gained in the beginning of a D-bol cycle is waterweight, as water retention is high with this drug. Your strength was manipulate by the water retention in the muscle tissues, hence you were able to gain leverage because the joints and muscles were pumped with water. This is very typical of a D-bol heavy cycle. I would recommend using D-bol to kickstart your cycle, but not throughout.

excellent responses. i am not thrilled about this situation but not really upset about it either since i only used dbol because it was given to me.

it has been a good an interesting learning experience. i often read about using dbol to "kickstart" a cycle but never paid much attention to this or understood it. i can see why using dbol to kickstart a long term injectable cycle would be a good idea to get a start on your gains. live and learn. :)

when my order FINALLY comes (and Radar, thank for your help!) i will be very anxious to get started. i will definitely do PCT. what a waste gaining weight and losing it so quickly.

You're missing the point, glennds.

You never had the "gains" in the first place, it was just water weight.

You can't lose what you never had........and what you had was only water.

this does not surprise me, but what is different about dbol that i only got waterweight? you cannot gain muscle using dbol? what is the point of taking dbol then? it seems to be an extremely popular roid.

Sit back and think about it bro...
You can't gain 8lbs of solid muscle fiber in 4 weeks. What you gained was the water retention which the muscles can use to feed off of. This is why it helps to kickstart a bulking cycle. This is also why you should always drink large amounts of water every day, along with protein and fiber. I fluctuate 8lbs of water daily, I'm around 192-5lbs in the morning and 200-02 in the evening.

Your cells can only divide so fast, and with the break down and rebuilding of muscle cells its not possible. You can force feed the cells to hold water and give off the impression of actual muscle, but solid 8lbs of cell reproduction is not possible.

dbol is a more effective muscle builder when placed in a rich anabolic environment such as the middle or closer to the end of a test/EQ cycle. The reason why many recommends kicking off with dbol is because when using long ester injectables many will become discouraged because the gains take too long to show up, in other words we stare at the weight scale way too much! There's nothing wrong with the kickstart as long as you have already started your injectables hence the fast gains from dbol will be solidified by test/EQ as the cycle continues, however if you really and truely want to get the full benefit from dbol, wait until around week 7 and throw it in and you will really see what dbol is all about! I'm waiting until week 10 of 16 when I'm going to drop in dbol and tren for by then test/EQ should be in full effect!

I don't want to argue symantics here. 8lbs of PURE MUSCLE FIBER is hard for sure. But when I get on the scale after 3 weeks on DBOL and I'm up 10lbs, if it's not showing on my midsection as far as I'm concerned it's LEAN MASS. And if by 6 months after my PCT I haven't lost a single pound, you'll never get me to believe that it's water weight.


I'll believe if you want to say that your body may need more time to get used to the extra weight that you just put on. To put on 8 lbs in 3 weeks is alot and I tend to believe that your body needs time to adjust to that extra weight that was put on so quickly. Thus, when glennds lost his weight shortly after his cycle, being sick, no PCT, etc would lead to a poor environment for maintaining weight. I'll believe that before I'll believe that the gains were only water.
 
well some good news is i gained a couple lbs again today even after some vigorous cardio playing tennis this morning. i lost a lot of water quickly being sick with the stomach flu (which is not really a flu but that is another topic :)). i usually try to pack on the calories so maybe even the two days of being sick and low food intake really had a big impact.

i am a lean guy and often lose weight very quickly after being sick. regardless it was good to see those two pound back on. i now believee that all i gained, and lost, was excess water weight. live and learn.

Congrats bro, those cells have already expanded, it will be easy to replenish what you lost. Keep up the good work!

Semantics neccessary here, because all nonfat weight is by definition "lean" weight, so water is technically lean weight, but it isn't muscle.

And if by 6 months after my PCT I haven't lost a single pound, you'll never get me to believe that it's water weight.

If after 6 months u havent lost it, then it wasnt water. typically you'll piss out the water within days of stopping the causative aas's, in this case dbol.

Many people bash dbol as a water roid. Don't kid yoursel bro ... when any water is said and gone, nothing builds muscle better than dbol does.

I'm doing it this cycle starting in about 2 weeks...I've been on test/eq for 7 weeks now and will kick in dbol/tren starting week 10. I got this information from a scientific journal and the studies showed that the muscle gained from dbol when used at the middle or closer to the end of a cycle was of higher quality and solidity (less gained from water retention) then when started at the beginning. Many others who have used dbol at the end of the cycle found their gains to be more solid as well! I wish I can find that damn study again!

yes --- please post it if u find it.

maybe then, pct considerations aside, the way to do it is reverse of current convention.

to kick start, use var for some qik strength/mass gains, then the dbol in middle or end.
