DB row and lower back

I have a question. When i do DB rows I feel it great in my back but there is a minor discomfort in my lower back. Im doing good mornins to strengthen my lower back. Any other suggestions?

More info needed.

Do you twist at all during the movement? How do you do your db rows? Bent over? seated? with one foot on the bench?

Maybe this relates to your discomfort -- I just plain can't do bent-over bb rows because they hurt my low back (I injured myself as a kid). Something about bending over with all that weight at the other end of my torso - I threw my back out for a week doing them. So now, I stick with Yates rows (more upright position).

duhhh forgot to answer ya. I have one arm and leg on the bench. I sit back a little at times. I don't rotate that muchs at all.

Keep the good mornings (add reverse hypers)

keep a natural curve in your lower back.

experiment with different hand and leg/knee positions.

also contract with your lats..and isolate as much as you can.

dont swing the weight or use much momentum

see if there are any higher or lower surfaces to lean on.

If not find a way to raise the bench a foot or too (usually pump steps or plyo boxs)
then lay flat on the bench and do supported rows
