Day 1 ANPB Diet

I think i found a diet i can stick to (even though my girlfriend is gonna hate me for it), the ANPB Diet. i started this diet today, went out and got 5 jars of Smuckers ANPB, and my whey isolate and vitamins. Goal obviously is to get cut up, and actually see some of the hard earned muscle that i packed on to my scrawny frame in the last year.

Starting stats:
Height: 6'2, 220, around 16-17%bf
12 week goal: get down to around 9-10% (or maybe lower if possible) As soon as my digital camera starts working ill get some pics up. I think ill post up on a weekly basis to keep track of my results also. wish me luck guys.

I'm starting this diet Monday, and I too have a girlfriend who hates it (actually she said "Oh my god I would vomit").

All I have left to buy is the Vit A/D. Tomorrow I'm gonna have a little cheat day before I give up real food for months!

I'm gonna post pics and stats later too.

Maybe we can talk to each other about it, I'm at about 15% as well (just a lot shorter than you).

The ratio of Omega3 to Omega6 on the ANPB diet is frightening. Make sure to change about 2 meals a day with fishoils instead of the pb. Among some of the side effects of too high Omega-6(which is found in PB) is MAJOR depression. Just pop 40 caps a day of Fishoil and you'll be fine
 
ok i wanna do this diet too but i have questions. Im 180, 5'9 and 18 years old. I was always told to eat around 1500-1600 cals plus excerzie will lead to about 1lb loss per weak. But on this diet, it says i should be eating like 2100 cals? How does this result in fat loss? Also, since pb packs a lot of cals in just 2 tablespoons, will this be filling??

Well, the exact amount of calories you should be eating is 2052 exactly according to the ANPB calculator on massmonsters. So, you are in a caloric defecit, so it will lead to fat loss. Im only on day 2, but i have not been hungry and have had no cravings at all. Also, yes of course if you only ate 1600 calories and exercised you would lose weight, but you would also lose a ton of muscle. Mr X. designed this diet to help keep most of the muscle while dropping weight slowly. Because of the amount of protein, this is basically a muscle sparing diet. It can also put you in a ketogenic state, where your body learns to burn fat as its priority. The high fat and very low carbs (many coming from dietary fiber) would most likely put you in the ketogenic state. Hope this helps
 
Im now on day 3, and havnet even had the urge to cheat on this diet, its working great so far, the anpb really does fill you up

Found out I can't eat that much PB everyday as I'm mildly allergic to peanuts :mad:

doing a carb cycling diet instead (down 4 lbs. so far!)

I will live the ANPB diet vicariously through you.

Hey guys, this is my first day on the ANPB diet too. CKD was just too much prep for me to follow with school and work... so this seems like a good solution even if my parents scream at me for it (ironically they are on the ATKINS diet.. lol) Anyways, I bought all my vitamins yesterday and have been on the diet today. It's not bad, you're not that hungry... I got a question for you though, have you been mixing your ANPB with your whey? Or eating it seperately...

I'm eating 6 meals a day 1 scoop whey and 2.3 tbs ANPB per meal. 1 tab fat burner per meal. Half my vits in morn, half at night, last meal I added a TBS. of flax seed oil to make up some of the omega 3's.. and since my ANPB was a bit lower in fat, it didnt effect anything....

Jandy - I think most people just mix in some ANPB with the Whey. I do it just about anytime its time to chug a shake...even if its only small amount :)
