I pick up the phone and hear a f*cking recording "hello, please hold for the next available agent".......please hold this, biatch. I thought they outlawed automated dialers anyway?

I just love it when one will call and we won't answer. They have some kind of auto-answer thing that goes off whenever their phone connects. So our aswering machine will kick in and that tells them that someone answered. So we get all these messages that go "Hello, may I speak to XXXXXXXX. Hello???? Is anyone there????? Hello?????" Its pretty funny. We even have a no call thing in this state to outlaw it, but they still sneak by it. Bastards!

can companies do 411's on cell phones? can you make your cell phone "private" as you do your home number??

Yeah, I have gotten a few text messages on my AT&T phone advertising Cialis and shit. Not sure where those came from or why though....
