they actually did that (not a corpse) on mythbusters can't remember exactly but it was quite a while... the acid didn't eat away at the bones it just turned them into jello pretty much. you could still tell they were bones they just looked/moved rubbery

He did it in his bathtub. Mostly though he chopped them up and carried them out bit by bit or he ate them.

Apparently his neighbours didn't complain because he was quiet and kept to himself and they weren't sure where it came from. They found body parts stashed all over his place and in the fridge and freezer.

The guy got sentenced to 973 years in prison.

In case anyone is wondering how I know all this stuff I did a project on serial killers in high school.
