So here I am sitting in my desk at work all weepy (Im glad no one is in the office with me) I'm really starting to get cranky and sad at not seeing my husband... it's been almost 2 months and a half now and one more month to go IF everything goes just right.... *sigh* is anyone in similar circumstances where they are away from their significant other for a period of time...?

I have to come to the US and get a stable job and once I have 3 months worth of pay stubs I can "import" him here :P, I'm a Us citizen but he isnt, he finally caved in to my wish to live in the US instead of CR but this is the price to pay :( that's why I get pissy at all the illegals that come in and I try to do things right and get this shit thrown at me.... :(

No strange.... funny thing is while in VA on training for work, I was at the hotel lobby/bar having a blue lagoon and when I was done the guy next to me offered to buy me another if i stayed, I was a bit shocked and declined politely since it was late, while walking to my room this mega attractive guy walked by and I thought to my self "why didn't this guy offer to buy me a drink" then I thought I was glad he didnt :D

At least I do have the pups :)

I did it for 2 years with breaks every 6 months to go visit. It's not easy and I could have extended my contract a 3rd year, but decided to go home instead to be with him. It's not much longer girl...

I'd call him bragiggles, but some poor readers may read it as bra jiggles. ;)
 
Btw, been meaning to ask Bino and pick3 - why do you two have the same Avatar pic? Who is this dude in the grey collared red shirt? He's my kind of nerdy, nice, into older Asian women kind of guy.
 
I have done this a few time Nan - it is hard but this too shall pass. Good news is sex is great when you get back together (For a few weeks anyway). Hang in there.
 
There will be no sex yet.... seeing that I live in a small apt and my mom will live for us for a week or two...

We chat everyday and use skype/webcams a couple if times a week, it's weird because I dont want to see him all the time like on webcam,but I do miss him around,like going to work, going to the gym,just laying in bed watching tv making smart ass comments :D

I know it's like you... perhaps dig the freedom, the adventure of the move, the shaking up of the mundane... ofcourse living mountain side costa rica, ain't bowl game and barbecues to most, but yeah... it's the quiet moments that you know, naahhh... 'feel' that he's apart of U.

I went back to the old country with my dad recently, and yeah, it's weird, like if u go to makati, and a shopping mall, the amount of restaurants, diversity, types, is amazing. However, the obesity rate is not nearly as high here. It has gotta be something to do with the weather and amount of sun, I would think.

I dunno. Either way, yeah... I got softer, and am still trying to unpack, adipose wise.

In the old country? Have fun. Man, when I go back to my childhood stomps, I EAT my way through my vacation. I like paying the price though and then just work my ass off later.:biggrin:

I guess depends on how far back you wanna go. I don't think of Spain as old country, I think of it as the invading with lot's of benefits and diseases country. Take the good with the bad I guess. Loin cloths vs. underwear. Animist & ancestor worship vs. Roman Catholicism. Where am I going with this? Hey, so where are you?

No, I didn't mean to dissect the identity dynamic that the phillippines has had with Spain/United States/and pre Magellan indigenous culture. Old Country, I was just playin...

Hell I was born in Pittsburgh, and grew up for the most part in the midwest. So culture wise it's bout as bowl games and barbecues and balikbayan as it gets.

Oh, I returned from the Phillipines with my father after a 3 week stay to see fam. Was in LA for a week, visiting old college friends, now back in Columbia Mo-Kansas City Mo. Late July, will be in NYC, for post grad candidacy. GF lives there 2, so we shall see.

Midwest huh? LOL. Sorry, I can't tell you my identity w/people watching. I'm already nervous about dropping clues all over the place if anyone read through all my posts. Still trying to get some of my pics removed and I'm when i finally got a reply to send them the link to what I want removed, it's coming back undeliverable. I can't believe the road blocks and hurdles. It's a conspiracy!

Back to identity. Um, I'm a Mestizo of a Mestizos mixed with Mestizos. We're sure we have some Filipino background too from about 200 years ago.
