I hear ya, but due to my job I'll be living in a lot of expensive areas. I have been sitting on house loot for about 5 years now without touching it (well, except 2k to pay off credit card bills) and getting antsy. I just CAN'T rationalize throwing away money on rent anymore, especially when we're talking close to a grand a month.
