Someone abandoned a kitten tonight at my house, I can't even open the door with it sitting on the steps whining.
At first the tiny thing was scared of me,but after that first rub,the lil thing was hooked,I finally gave it some milk -and the poor thing was starved,Now comes the question of what to do with it?
This was one idea"Buy a big Screen TV -get a free kitten"
Anyone have any suggestions.?

Take it to Pets Mart or call them, they have a program for stray cats. They'll take it and try to get it adopted.

Buy a covered litter box, and a 25 lb. bag of Science Diet kitten formula.

Sorry about that, are there any local vets around? Give them a call and see what they say.

Cats never like each other at first, but they learn to tolerate each other in time. Heck, after nine years together, my two ferocious nocturnal predators still fight all the time.

Is that what your calling Raina?

I got a good story about abandoning cats. This is from a friend of mine's website:

Ok, so I'm really pissed right now. I was out on the porch having a smoke, and I see this white 80s Mustang drive up to the park across the street. The mullet-sporting redneck assmonkey driving it parks the car in the little parking lot, gets out, reaches in the passenger side window, pulls out a kitten, walks over by the bridge, puts the kitten down, and then gets back into his car and drives off.

She started meowing almost instantly, so I went running over to make sure she wasn't hurt or anything. She was sitting under some brush and while she was happy to sniff my hand and rub up against it, I couldn't reach her to get her out.

A woman with her three kids and two dogs walked by, and I asked if they wanted a kitten. She said no because she already has two dogs and a cat at home. I told her what happened, and she was happy to help. She had one of her daughters help me get the kitten out. I held up the brush and she crawled under to get her.

When she handed her to me, the little kitty was purring like mad. I brought her home and put her in the downstairs bathroom where she'd be safe from the dogs, and called the shelter. They're open until 6pm, which is fine, but Linda's at work, and has to take her car to the shop tonight to get a new muffler, so she won't be home in time for me to take the kitty to the shelter.

Anyway, it looks like she'll be spending the night in the bathroom, and I'll take Linda to work and the kitty to the shelter in the morning.

As a side note, I'd like to say one thing:

To the redneck fuckhead that dropped her off; if you happen to stumble across this site and read this (assuming your dumb mullet-wearing ass can read), if I ever see your car while I'm walking or riding the bike, you will regret the day you dropped this kitten off. I will fuck your shit up. But not in an obvious way... more like loosen your lugnuts so your wheels fall off when you're driving. Or maybe cut the brake lines. Or maybe...

You get my point. Watch your back you kitten-abandoning, mullet-wearing, redneck jackass. I'm looking for you.

Update #1

See, you stupid redneck, I told you that you were fucked. Due to your complete stupidity, you abandoned a cat with a microchip embedded in it, and the SPCA has tracked you down. A police report was filled out today. Expect a knock on your door sometime soon. Have fun!

Update #2

Earlier today, Adam (the guy who adopted the kitten) sent me some pictures of her in her new habitat. Isn't she cute?

Here's the cat by the way:

He also filled me in as to what's going on with the police report. The way things currently stand, the guy is looking at a minimum of a $1000 fine for animal abandonment. If he tries to bullshit the cop or has a record, he also could be charged with a misdemeanor of animal abuse. I only have one thing to say to that:

DON'T MESS WITH DEFENSELESS ANIMALS, BITCHES THE KARMA POLICE ARE ON YO ASSSSSS!

regarding the abandonment post, at least it was just abandoned. i've seen some horrible shit people've done with animals when i used to live by a train yard :(

Few things smell worse than a cat litter box.

Jailed for drowned hound

A Queens man who drowned his dachshund at Jones Beach last summer was sentenced yesterday to 15 days in jail.
Hundreds of beachgoers saw Yoichi Nakayama pushing the struggling pooch named Noodle into the surf over and over on Aug. 4.

Finally, with Noodle limp in his arms, Nakayama walked out of the water and started to dig a hole to bury the dog, police said. State Park police arrested him on an animal cruelty charge.

Nakayama, a chef at a sushi bar, pleaded guilty to the charge, but before he was sentenced, his lawyer insisted he did not intend to hurt the dog.

The attorney, Sheldon Glass, told Nassau County Court Judge Joseph Calabrese that Nakayama was merely playing.

Still, Nakayama apologized and told the judge he was ashamed of his actions.

"Your conduct was serious," Calabrese responded. "And, of course, you caused the death of this poor dog and shocked everyone in the area."

In addition to the jail term, he ordered Nakayama to pay a $1,000 fine and perform 125 hours of community service. The judge also placed him on probation for three years.

Tina Mulvey, a member of an animal rescue group that monitored the case, said Nakayama "needs to be educated."

"You don't take a dachshund to the beach thinking the dog will swim," she said. "Those little legs can't paddle."

Kitten Parm

I have a great recipe for Kitten Parm, but you must use good parmesan, maybe Granna?

Poor little kitty. :(

I don't understand how anyone could just leave an animal. If you don't want it, find it a home.

Cats Try to Eat Incapacitated Owner

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A group of hungry cats began to eat their 86-year-old owner after she suffered an apparent stroke and couldn't get up for nearly a week, officials said Thursday.

Mae Lowrie, who lives with seven cats, was discovered unconscious and riddled with bite marks Wednesday night at her Panorama City apartment, Fire Department and hospital officials said.

She was listed in fair condition at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, said hospital spokeswoman Lisa Kort.

"The cats were trying to survive in the conditions that they were in, faced with the outcome they had. They did what they had to do to survive," animal control Officer Ernesto Poblano told KABC-TV. "The cats were all emaciated, very, very emaciated."

Lowrie may have suffered a stroke, said Jim Wells, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The woman's apartment manager alerted authorities after neighbors realized they hadn't seen Lowrie in several days.

Wells said Lowrie, who was believed to have been stricken about a week before she was found, was also dehydrated.

The cats, apparently without food for that time, also tried to eat Lowrie's small dog, said Jackie David, a spokeswoman for the city Animal Services Department. The terrier showed signs of hypothermic shock, severe dehydration, respiratory illness and was later euthanized, she said. One of the cats, a kitten, was found dead.

well so far no luck, the lil thing isn't much bigger than my hand, but it can put away more food in a minutes time than me,It's cold tonight so i now have it under the garage, with a space heater turned on,The lil critters bed looks cozier than mine,I might join it later on since i'm already in the doghouse!
