Anybody lift with a velcro closure weight belt? I used to until last night. I'm on my 4th set of 5x5 deadlifts and on #3 rep and my belt pops open. Now I know many of you are saying that I shouldn't be using a belt to begin w/ but I'm on a "program" right now and am increasing my weights dramatically every week so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Anyway, I'm thinking of picking up a decent leather belt. Any suggestions? Has anyone else's velcro belt just popped open on them?
