Cycle to maintain size while marathon training??

Hey guys I've got some pretty good information off this forum in the past so I decided to sign up :)

I've weight trained sinse I was 16 and I am now 26, I have a very good knowledge of steroids and pct and all the rest off it, so there's no need to give me a lecture on the basics before we start

Basically I've registered to run two half marathons with a freind of mine in March, I'm concerned that to get fit enough to run these I will probably loose a lot of my gains from the gym. Which I don't want to do

So my question is...... Would a low dose test cycle help me maintain the muscle I already have while I'm training for these events?
I was thinking just 250mg a week of test-e so that's it's just slightly above normal range

I'm not looking to increase any size on this cycle, I just want to keep what I already have while running roughly 30 mile a week

If any of you guys have knowledge of anything that would be better, I would greatly appreciate any advice

I don't want to take EQ because of how long it stays in your system, and winstrol is a no go because of the issues with joints

Have you heard of muscle memory man? It comes right back if it was there before. And there's other supplements you can take to preserve muscle mass like hmb or glutamine. AIDS patients are given this through an IV for preservation. Taking steroids with no plans to build muscle is idiotic, unless you are a professional athlete. But i will answer your question .. Yes testosterone will hold on to muscle mass that would otherwise be lost due to caloric defecits from excessive cardio. 250mg might not be enough, especially if you get underdosed gear. If you drop your height weight and body fat i would be able to give you better advice.

I know it's not the cleverest idea, but I have a good physique at the moment and don't want to loose it, I ran a half marathon and some 10k's last year and the running regular made me loose a fair bit of strength and muscle where I wasn't lifting as much

Plus I know if you run a test cycle and keep a eye on everything along with proper pct that they are fairly safe (when not abused)

I'm 5ft 8/174cm 12 stone 4/79kg at 10% bf
 
Eat more and take hmb before you try using drugs. But if you are going to do a cycle you should do 500mg of test prop a week. The reason i say 500 is because the side effects from 500 wont be any worse than the side effects from 250. You might as well aim to build a little instead of just maintain. And that is 100% possible with test in the picture. use test prop because this will give you the least water retention and keep you the most lean. long esthers can add a lot of water weight to you which will be bad for long distance running. Have arimidex on hand and ONLY use it if you get sensitive nipples at .25 until sides go away and then taper off. Still i would advise against using steroids but you have options now

That's some good advice, I never realised long esters added more water so I guess you learn something new all the time

I would of run anastrozole at .25/.5 eod to keep water down but I guess prop is the way forward

Nothing wrong with cyp or enan bro. Gboy has some bad water retention, but there could be many factors.

Also since you are training for endurance I can help you add a sick SARM stack. Help with endurance and will keep you from losing muscle. Just let me know bro and I'll hit you up.
 
Switching esthers wont make a huge difference in water retention but i watched a kid drop 20lbs of bloat in 3 weeks from switching to prop mid cycle. You might not get bloated from long esthers, tons of people haven't but i definetly do. I believe it comes down to how sensitive you are to fluctuating estrogen levels. If you are going to go through with this watch your blood pressure, especially if it's hot where you live since you're going to be running. Tons of water, I used to run distance in highschool i know how drained you can be after crushing a 5k at practice
 
Its going to be tough to do when your doing extensive cardio training and burning up mega calories.
That's why you never (or rarely) see marathon/distance runners who look like bodybuilders.
 
This will be a one time only thing, I just don't like the thought of loosing a years worth of muscle for two months running to get fit enough

imcrease food man! cardio isnt that catabolic as long as you still weight train and eat well. maybe some gh peps may help but you shouldn't need aas to hold into size. plenty lf jacked guys do 2hrs cardio per day precomp!
