Ok... I know someone is going to send a flame or a big ass laugh my direction for not being a bodybuilder, but I don't give a rats ass! I'm hoping someone here can give me some suggestions.
I'm a triathlete/duathlete and during my competition season I weigh in about 175-180 at around 9% BF. My problem is with all the run/bike/swim of course I have trouble holding onto precious muscle tissue... and it is more important than you might think in my sport. Obviously I don't want to add lean weight, but I need some suggestions on what cycle might work to help me keep hold of muscle when my body wants to ditch it. I lift regularly through the season, how heavy depends on the training cycle I'm on... but I do a lot of strength and olympic lifts to help with generating the power I need to be competitive.
Any help you guys can give... I'll owe you one.
BTW, anyone who says the best way to save muscle is to quit triathlons can bite me....
