cutting?

yeah so i've noticed that i have alot (well not a LOT but enough that i want to get rid of it) of excess body fat and i'd really like to get rid of it - and cutting as said in another thread is mostly diet. cutting = fat loss right? or am i using the complete wrong term here?

anyway point of the post, whats a good diet? im 15 and 125 lbs currently, i go to the gym to workout every other day and i just wanna get rid of this bodyfat to get a cut look.

please : do NOT tell me that im 15 and i shouldnt worry about it, cause i see people all the time who wish they started when they were younger. thanks for the help :)

with your age and weight - i would focus more on a good workout routing, good clean eating patterns, cut out the sugars and bad carbs and make sure youre getting enough quality protein in your diet - you should be able to add some good muscle quality and increase your fat burning at the same time - you can also add in some cardio 4-5 days per week after your workouts to make enhance the fat loss as well - and doing cardio first thing in the AM on an empty stomach is also the best for cutting....hope this helps

125 lbs calls for bulking, heck my workout partner weighs 20 lbs more than you and he looks like a refugee. So bulk, don't worry too much about cutting. Eat 1 gm/lb protein, throw in some starchy carbs like rice and pasta, vegetables, and EFA's. If you build muscle you'll look better despite carrying some extra fat. As for training do some cardio (30 min is good enough), hit the weights hard, and definitely work on building a V-taper by emphasizing pullups. A wide upper back gives you a slimmer looking waist and a more masculine appearance.

thas what i need! a pullup bar!

i've never been able to do very well on pullups, lol, but rrecently i've actually been able to pull myself up like full way, do 5 or so and stop.

but yeah i've been eating pretty big, like bowl of cereal/(or)can of tuna/eggs for breakfast, chicken wrap usually for lunch (its huge, like 2 wraps), and steak/chicken/fish for dinner, usually in pretty big portions.

so like i should do alot of cardio work on the days i dont lift ?

I won't say a lot. It depends on what type of energy work. If you do HIIT then you would do something like sprint 30 secs, walk/jog 2 min, sprint again, etc. And you usually only need 15 minutes to do that. If you're doing circuit training then use light weights repeat a cycle for like 4-5 times with 1-2 min rest in between and you're finished. Finally if you're doing cardio then 30 min at moderate pace prefereably in the morning will do you fine.

Your young and your body is going to change a lot still. I would just eat clean by eating carbs, proteins together and proteins and fats together. Stay away from fat and carbs in the same meal as well as sugars. Your very light so try to put on some muscle which will increase your metabolism and help u get rid of some of that stubborn fat
