Cutting weight..

So I have cut weight before for wrestling but now I have moved on to powerlifting and I never had a problem cutting the weight but I never had energy or strength after the fact. I have my first lifting meet on March 26 but I dont know what weight I want to lift at 198 or 220. Anyone have good diet tips or just any helpful info at all?
