Cutting Diet/ Carb Intake/ Menstrating....

Add all those up and you have a mega bitch:)

My question for females: whats you carb intake on menstration days when your trying to cut?

Reason: Had leg day yesterday (menstrating) carbs were all from veggies (brocollie and spinach) ~60g. Afterwards I was very nauseous (usually am after legs, but this was WAY worse) plus added diziness that lasted for about an hour after getting home.

So I'm uping my carbs slowly, just wanted to get some feedback if anyone has any.

I've never gone lower than about 150, maybe 100 g carbs in a day. I lose my mind (I think it's way more mental freaking-out over it than a physical inability to function on low carbs), so I can't help ya.

But, I do know you need more iron when you're menstruating, but not necessarily more carbs. I don't think your metabolism is boosted at all from having your period (darn!)

Re: the diziness, did you have enough total cals? Enough water?
 
I think my carbs were too low. Water intake has been sufficient. Also taking Iron and had some red meat for lunch.

The diziness sucked becuase it lasted so long. While I was at home in the tub. I had to get out and lay down, then it went away. 1st time in my life working out made me feel so bad.

i keep my carbs low all the time... keeping it to raw veg mainly, occasional low gi fruits, and some creep in from cottage cheese and stuf like that.

a weird thing is, that the past week i have weighed the same, now that my reds are over, im 1kg heavier.! what is going on!!??? i do not know...but it aint muscle. I drink heaps of water and liquids in general...so I dont know..:confused:
 
Thanks for the imput. I just said screw it and went to Wendys and got 20 frosties, 4 biggie fries and 4 Triple Decker Burgers. Now I feel nauseous but know why:):)

No, I upped carbs to about 120 yesterday, but took so much fiber I'm bloated like a whale. Now ain't that sexy;)

Fist, Hanny, bfold-what you you boys doing on this board? And bite your tongue b fold, I still lift. Just got a little off track with the man, work, school the last month or so.
