Customs Letter...

Dont send the fucker back to em right? Im worried Ill be crossing a border somewhere into canada or mexico and they will automatically assume im a bady guy and therefore search me and car. Any thoughts?

For those not in the know... there are two choice on the letter they ask you to return:
1. Agree that they can seize the package
2. Contest the seizure by providing a real DEA form saying the package is Ok'd

Exactly bro, DO NOT SEND LETTER BACK, I had one and took it to my attorney and he said that it was a standard letter and that they will likely not pursue you if you let it die. If you send it back, that is telling them that they illegally took your "goods" and then they will open a small investigation on whether or not they in fact confiscated things they shouldnt have. Once they figure out that they were in fact ok to confiscate, you will be the focus of the next investigation, consider it a loss and never have anything like that sent to that addy where you got the customs letter. you are now flagged by the govt. Hope this helps, good luck I am assuming it was a foreign source too?

If you respond to the letter and it contained your real name & address it will go into customs computer. However if you dont respond it just flags your address and not the name. Hope this helps.

Don't return the letter; that only aids them in a further investigation of you and your postal address.

DO NOT contest the seizure. Consider it a loss and move on.

Hopefully your source has a re-ship policy.
