So I dropped off my paintings yesterday. This old lady was slobbering over the fruit one. She says "Ohh, I have just the place for that in my house, how much is it?" Then she looks at the price and gets all :worried: . I'm thinking, wtf bitch, you want a something cheap, got to kmart and get a framed poster. Biatches.

It was pretty funny, a slew of old grannies. I paid the entry with $10 in ones, cause I was trying to get rid of em. One little old lady asked me if it was my dancing money!

You paint fruit? Still life fruit or what?

I'm reminded of Rosey Greer doing his needle work on the side lines....

:lmao: @ your dancing money.

Those are both good. The fruit one shows off technique and the landscape is almost impressionistic. I would not have guessed the two would have been from the same artist.

I priced em at $200 for the landscape, it's 9x12. And $300 for the still life, it's 11x14.
This is my first time entering anything. I feel those are good prices. It's very subjective. Painters who kick ass get around 10k per.

And some make more when they die.... :)

1. none of you are named curly mcbigboobs, so i don't know why you're answering for me.

2. jestro, you're gonna win. if you don't, you should.

b. the price is perfect.

c. I need some help with pricing too, but i don't know if you can help me. Its art glass, and glass jewelry.

4. goodnight. :)

Yeah! Curly found my thread.
I think you should price your glass at $1000 a pop. Maybe an eyepatch would help. Or a cane. You could beat people with it when they voice their insignificant opinions.

lol
ok, i look sexay in an eye patch.

That's the beauty of art.

I can put a twig in a turd I squeezed out after a 3:00 am drunken run thru Taco Bell, call it art, and some idiot will probably buy it for a high price.

(not saying your painting is a turd or anything. They are actually well done. Now Curly McBigboobs glass stuff is a different story...)

Naw, I sold it in the show I entered it in. It just opened on the 7th. It's actually the exhibition hall at the WA state fair. It sold for what I listed, minus 25%, so I got $225.
I haven't put anything up on that website, but it's on my list of things to do. I also need to come up with a url, and make a postcard.

aap, just because I'm sofa kind we todd did, doesn't mean you gotta make fun. sniffle.

i think you could get more for them in the future- it's always hard to price your first thing.
i have a show on oct. 7th that i hope gets a lot of traffic. :)
