Curls - EZ or Straight bar?

i like the straight bar curls better, but people say that when you use the ez curl bar it slightly hits the bi in a different angle, but i never noticed a real big difference. go with straight bar, then sometimes i throw in hammer curls or hammer preacher to hit it a little different.

with the EZ curl bar you dont get the samekind of superiour development as with straight bar because of the lesser degree of supination

you will probably find you can lift more weight with it but the effect is more diluted

switch it up and use one one week and one the other... as stated, the ez curl allows you to handle more weight and also keeps your wrists in a little more comfortable position... the straight bar, hits the bis slightly better, but is also harder on the wrists (and elbows)...

I would defintely say to vary it up. Doing one for a few weeks then switching back over really helps me out I think. I can handle more weight with an ez-curl bar simply because this variation involved more of the biceps and the brachialis, because of the positioning of your hands. Straight-bar curls seems to contract the biceps more though and I seem to be able to feel it better in the belly of my biceps. Ez-curls with a close-grip really work good for me though standing, or on a preacher bench. A close-grip seems to stimulate my outer biceps more. :)

The more you mix it up the harder progression is to measure.

Choose one or the other.

I'd suggest straight because it means your biceps are fully supsinated which will build them quicker.

Only if you have wrist problems would i suggest doing EZ bar.
