Hey guys, im just looking for opinions on cycling with anavar. Im doing crossfit and would like to use the strength properties of anavar. Im not in it to gain much weight, if i gain a couple pounds that alright but not more then 5. Should I be looking for somthing other than anavar or should this do the trick?

Cheers guys

Halotestin, Anavar and Turinabol would all be good choices for low weight gain strength gain.

Anadrol made me the strongest, but it made me very big also..

I don't know what crossfit is...

I usually use Anavar and any other oral with fairly low dose and short duration..
The most I would use orally would be 50mg a day, of anything. usually no more than 3 weeks with at least equal time off.
higher dosage and longer duration could probably be safe.. I just take things easy.

I've heard the magic number for some on anavar is somewhere in the vicinity of 75 - 80 mg a day.

Taken in two separate doses of 40 mg or so 2X a day.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program using functional movements (no isolation exercises, i.e. bicep curls) that are constantly varied (no routine) and executed at a high intensity. CrossFit focuses on 3 modalites, Gymnastics, i.e. pull-ups, pushups, dips, medicine ball throws, plyo box jumps, handstand pushups etc…Cardiovascular conditioning, i.e. runnig, jumping, swimming, biking, rowing and the third , Weight Lifting ,i.e. squats, deadlifts, clean and jerk, snatch etc… CrossFit believes that the ultimate athlete is equal part, gymnast, sprinter, and weight-lifter.
In CrossFit there are 10 domains of fitness: Cardiorespiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFits example of an athlete is someone who is fit in all 10 domains. Through practicing these principles, any weaknesses that you may have will be exposed. CrossFit is a generalist program, meaning it’s speciality is that it has no specialty, so it will help you become a well rounded athlete with no weaknesses.
CrossFit is not exclusive to athletes. It has been used widespread by Military, Police and Firefighter personnel, mixed martial-arts fighters, triathletes and participants of various other sports and to anyone who is striving for ultimate fitness, including teenagers, and the elderly

kelly: what are your goals? What do you hope to achieve by taking the Anavar?

We need some other stats too in order to provide the best advice we can:

Sex: Male / Female ?
Age:
Years lifting or are you a very fit person?
Goals?

Provide some details and I'll help you out as best I can!

Blessings and welcome to EF!

I hadn't considered that the op could be female... that totally changes everything lol..

if it is a her, she may try 2.5mg of Anavar every day..

if not, my advice remains the same..

As far as the 80mg a day of Anavar that would probably rock, saying you were a male.

Anavar is a very good AAS for strength with little to no side effects. Use some creatine with it too. they work real well together.

you can gain 5 lbs natural within 3 months. no need for an AS

Im not using it for weight gain at all just for the stregth properties. If I gain some lean mass then okay, but i dont want to gain more than 5 lbs.

Ive heard you might want to drop the pre workout drink (NO shotgun) because var gives you great pumps.

I think 75th ran a var only cycle and he trains crossfit.

This is true, and thanks for the heads up via PM.

First off, are you simply sticking with a WOD or are you incorporating anything else? For instance, I start every workout with a compound exercise (bench, dead, squat) and either work those into my WOD or simply add a metcon along with them.

I used var before I started with crossfit so I cant be certain but Im sure they would go very well together. What is the increase in strength for? That would be my first question.

Thanks for the reply.

The strength increase is for mma, jiu jitsu specifically. Also personal satisfaction with my crossfit workouts.
Im only doing the WOD and not using the crossfit websites WOD. We use the theoretical template for CF programing and design our own.
Should var provide me with decent strength gains and pumps or should it be stack with primo say? Iam kinda curious how noticable the strength gains are on a var only cycle. Ive heard some mixed opinions, the majority in favor.

Crossfit is great for core and muscle endurance, but if you are looking for serious strength gains you should add a strength training routine to you schedule..

That's actually a prety big misconception about Crossfit; that it contains only metcons. There are a fair amount of strength days in the programming, and there are several templates that focus much more on strength; Crossfit with a Strength Bias, ME Black Box, and Crossfit Football. Or you can do what I do many times which is to pick a compound lift, work up to a 1, 3, or 5rm and than follow that with a metcon. So, it's not so much adding a strength routine as Crossfit is a strength and conditioning routine, but more shifting that emphasis toward strength. It's all about finding a balance of what works.

Of course, you aren't going to become the biggest, strongest guy in the gym doing this, but if that's your goal than Crossfit isn't the right program for you. Instead look to proven bodybuilding and powerlifting routines.

Ive never heard of ME black box before you mentioned it. I did a lot of reading about it and i think im gonna give it a try. I really like the concept.

Cool. A lot of people have had great success with it, being able to increase strength and not really sacrifice conditioning. When the crossfi with a strength bias article came out, I had to laugh, because I was already doing nearly the same thing my training.
