Yer was very freak accident. Only ever been 2 other people killed by rays and thats from the barb through the foot and infection. Been on the news ever since it happened, they say he was swimming over top of the ray while being filmed, they ray flung up its tail and nailed him directly in the heart. The producer of the show said he has seen the footage and said steve pulled the barb out then seconds later became unconsious, worst thing he has ever seen. Also said the footage will never be released unless the family allow it.
The night before it happened i was reading FHM magazine and there was a question asking steve
"how would you rather go: in the jaws of a big beast or asleep in bed?"
'dont care, i have no fear of death, i've achieved so much in my 39 years on this planet that, christ, i could kick it straight after this interview and iv done enough. iv dived in with sharks, been bitten, chewed, peed on, shat on, spat at; you name it mate iv had it.'
